Paul McCartney, cheats death in helicopter scare. The English musician, singer-songwriter will be in the middle of an investigation by U.K. officials, as he came close to a disaster when the helicopter in which he was traveling in had plunged towards the ground in a terrifying mid-air scare.
The legendary Beatle had been on his way back home in East Sussex, England during an event in London along with his wife Shevell on the date of May 3, 2012. Just suddenly the helicopter reportedly became dis-orientated during bad weather, upon touch down Mccartney’s private helipad, towards trees, but luckily the potentially fatal crash had been avoided as the pilot pulled up at the last minute and diverted to a nearby airport.
At this time the incident is now under investigation by the government’s Department of Transport after the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (Aaib) classified it as a “serious incident”.
A spokesman for Air Harrods, the company which runs the helicopter service, tells Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper,
“Harrods Aviation can confirm that an incident took place on May 3 involving an Air Harrods helicopter. We are working in full cooperation with the Aaib which are currently investigating the incident.”
A representative for McCartney says, ” I want To Hold Your Hand!
Paul has been spoken to. It has been put to him, everything. It’s a no comment.”
